The village of Yuryevets is located 8 versts from the city of Vladimir along the Moscow highway; it actually consists of two villages - Yuryevets and Varlamov repairs, but the latter name is little known. The village of Varlamov Pochinok was once the patrimony of the Moscow Patriarchs, and the village of Yuryevets was a landowner's village until 1861. There are up to 90 houses in both villages. There was no primary school here; according to the school network, these villages are included in the zemstvo school in the village. The sleeve, located more than three miles away.
His Eminence, the Most Reverend Alexy, repeatedly passing through the village of Yuryevets in the early autumn of 1914, entered into a fatherly conversation with the children of this village and from these conversations learned that some of the children did not attend school at all, that the children attending the zemstvo school in the village of Rukava were burdened distance, especially in bad weather, in autumn slush, winter cold. The Bishop responded paternally to this spiritual need of the local population and decided to help them by establishing a special parochial school here using the funds he found. He expressed this archpastoral decision to the Diocesan Observer and Bishop. school council. When this decision of the Bishop was conveyed to the peasants of the village of Yuryevets, they accepted it with a feeling of deepest gratitude and readily allocated a choice of three plots of land for the construction of a school - in the eastern and western ends of the village and in the middle of it. Vladyka himself took the trouble to go to the village of Yuryevets and personally chose and blessed the place for the establishment of the school. The place was chosen to the west of the village on a high mountain, from which a distant and beautiful view opens. - Since the village of Yuryevets, according to the school network, is assigned to the zemstvo school in the village of Rukava, establishing a church school here required communication with local zemstvo institutions. The chairman of the zemstvo assembly and the district school council responded to the request of the Diocesan school council that there were no obstacles to the establishment of a church school.
When these preliminary steps had been taken, the diocesan architect was commissioned to draw up plans and estimates for the school building. In December 1914, the Diocesan Architect drew up a plan and estimate for the school building. The Bishop approved the plan of the building in the Russian style, very original and beautiful. The classroom is designed for 50 - 60 students, with a spacious locker room, a comfortable apartment for the teacher and a special room for the guard.
In January 1915, His Eminence formed a special Commission to oversee the construction of the school. The Commission included: Fr. Archimandrite of the Vladimir House of Bishops Vladimir, Diocesan Observer of parochial schools V. G. Dobronravov, Dean of churches in the city of Vladimir Archpriest John Uvarov, Rev. about. Vladimir district observer of the parochial schools of St. John Bystrovzorov, local dean priest. O. P. Lavrov and two representatives from the peasants of the village. Yuryevets.
Upon approval by the Master of the plan, Eparch. learned. The council established a special construction commission, which immediately began work.
Monasteries with forest dachas willingly donated forest for the construction of a school building. Funds for construction were provided by the Vladimir Bishops' House. Construction material was purchased and transported to the site, and carpentry work began in Lent. By Easter the log house was almost ready. After Easter, as soon as the ground thawed a little, they began to dig ditches for the foundation and lay the last one.
« Laying the foundation stone for the parochial school building in the village. Yuryevtse, Vladimir district.
On April 23, 1915, with special solemnity, in the presence of His Eminence, the Most Reverend Alexy, Archbishop of Vladimir and Suzdal, Chairman of the Vladimir Diocesan School Council. Evgeniy, Bishop of Yuryevsky, and other members of the church-school administration, the foundation stone for the building of the church-parochial school in the village was completed. Yuryevna.
Such a solemn groundbreaking of the building of the parochial school, the presence of Vladyka His Eminence Alexy himself at this groundbreaking, is explained by the special conditions for the establishment of a church school in this village.
For the local population, this groundbreaking of the school building became a solemn holiday. Long before the ceremony began, crowds of dressed-up people began to gather at the laying site, then all the members of the construction commission arrived. By 4 o'clock in the afternoon, His Eminence Vladyka himself arrived and with him His Eminence Eugene. The local priest met the Bishop in vestments and with St. Cross, and then representatives of the local population met the Vladyka with bread and salt. The Bishop thanked for the meeting and, blessing the bread, ordered it to be divided among the future schoolchildren. - After this, a prayer service was held for the consecration of the building being built. After the blessing of water, the foundation was laid in the eastern corner. A metal plaque with the following text was laid here: “On April 23, 1915, this building of the parochial school was laid in the village of Yuryevets, Vladimir province and district, built with the blessing of His Eminence Alexy, Archbishop of Vladimir and Suzdal, with the funds he found for education in the spirit of the Orthodox faith of the local population." The Bishop was the first to lay the foundation stone of the building, followed by the Reverend. Evgeniy and members of the construction commission. - The prayer service ended with the established many years. - At the end of the prayer service, the Bishop addressed the assembled people with an animated speech. He expressed his joy on the occasion of the foundation stone of the school building, an educational institution that would put an end to darkness and ignorance, then he found out that the future school would not only teach literacy and give knowledge, it would enlighten and educate the younger generation in the spirit of the Orthodox faith and the church, and such teaching is the most valuable and highest, on it all knowledge and enlightenment should be created. The people listened with concentrated attention to the words of the Lord. In conclusion, Vladyka wished success in completing the work begun and blessed the people.
This was the beginning of a church school in the village of Yuryevna. At the same time, one cannot help but express special gratitude to our Most Reverend Bishop, for only to him, his initiative belongs the organization of this school” (Vladimir Diocesan Gazette. Unofficial department. No. 18. May 2, 1915).
In August 1915, a beautiful school building in the spirit of ancient Russian architecture, measuring 24-18 arsh. was already ready. At the beginning of September, the first full admission of children to school took place.
The Diocesan Committee on the issue of the anniversary celebration of Saint Prince Vladimir, chaired by His Eminence Archbishop Alexy, at its meeting on September 11, decided to name the new Yuryevets school Prince-Vladimir in memory of the 900th anniversary of the death of Saint Prince Vladimir.
The following people arrived at the celebration of the consecration of the new building: His Eminence the initiator and builder of the school, Archbishop Alexy, Chairman of the Vladimir Diocesan School Council, His Eminence Evgeniy, Bishop of Yuryevsky, Fr. Archimandrite of the Vladimir Bishops' House - Vladimir, Fr. Rector of the Seminary Archimandrite Pavel, Members of the Consistory - Fr. O. Archpriests: M. Speransky, V. Bogolyubov, M. Belyaev, Chairman of the Diocesan Women's School Fr. Prot. A. A. Vasiliev, M.M. Abbess and Treasurer of the Vladimir Princess Convent, city and local Fr. O. dean, Diocesan and district Observers of church schools, members of the diocesan school council, Secretary of the Consistory A. V. Grozdov, Chairman of the Vladimir Treasury Chamber - A. A. Shipov, Representative from the Vladimir district zemstvo L. N. Kapatsinsky, Representative from the district school council, pl. others and all residents of the village. Yuryevets and Varlamov repair.
Local about. dean, with the participation of Fr. protodeacon, a prayer service was performed for the entry into the new house with the pronouncement of many years to the Reigning House, the Holy Synod, the Most Reverend Archbishop Alexy and the Most Reverend Bishop Eugene, the builders of the school, the rulers, the teachers and students in it. A choir of children - new schoolchildren - sang under the direction of the district Supervisor of church schools and the direction of a local teacher. After the prayer service, all rooms were sprinkled with holy water and His Eminence, the Most Reverend Alexy, Archbishop of Vladimir and Suzdal, declared the Yuryevets school open.
In a speech addressed to those present, the Archpastor greeted the members of the diocesan school council, the children and residents of that village with a sense of modest triumph. I dare to think, the Bishop said approximately, that in this modest celebration the joys of all of us converge. You, children, are happy that from now on you will receive an education in your native village, in front of your parents, and you will not have to run three miles in the cold winter. You, parents, are of course glad that now you have your own school, your children will study with you, before your eyes. We, fathers and brothers, cannot help but rejoice that we have opened the opportunity for children to be educated in primary school. There is no need to be embarrassed by the modesty of this celebration. Often big events mature in insignificant, unnoticed conditions. Who knows that this school will not produce some outstanding person who will glorify Russia and his village. I deeply believe in the genius of the Russian people. But he is not yet developed, he is like a fairy-tale sleeping princess, waiting for his knight who would wake him up. But in order to awaken the genius of the Russian people, it is necessary to approach it in accordance with the basic properties of their character. The main features of the Russian character are the desire for the beautiful and the good. It is enough to briefly examine the history of the Russian State in order to be convinced of this. Even at the dawn of their lives, the Russian people, this savage, in the opinion of their western neighbors, separated from them by a wall of dense forests, driven by the desire for beauty, order of life, goes to the Varangians to accuse themselves: our land is great and abundant, but there is no order in it, go reign and own us. What a wonderful example of moral purity and spiritual beauty! With the adoption of Christianity, this natural tribal property of the Russian people is aggravated and the Russian people are capable of creating miracles... At the same time, the Vladyka recalls the time of troubles and the way out of it, the reflection of Napoleon, the peaceful act of liberation of the peasants. In conclusion, the Eminence speaker expressed the desire that the real school should be national and ecclesiastical. The Bishop presented the school with a beautiful Image of the Savior, whose teaching and covenants should form the basis of the knowledge communicated here.
Representatives from the residents of the village of Yuryevets thanked the Archpastor with a special address and presenting him with an icon depicting St. Alexy the man of God, whose name the Archbishop bears. The address was read by the teacher of the newly opened school.
“On this joyful and unforgettable day for us, the day of the opening in our native village of a parochial school, rare in appearance and amenities, established by Your Eminence, our hearts are filled with a feeling of boundless love and gratitude to you, Most Gracious Archpastor. Could we, simple, poor people, imagine that someday a benefactor would appear who would give us and our children the opportunity to receive the light of true teaching? We could not even earn Our favor; only boundless love for our flock, the desire to see them enlightened and apparent kindness forced you to erect this wonderful building. Now our children, for the most part, deprived of the light of teaching, in this building, under the shadow and guidance of the Orthodox Church, will be enlightened by teaching, having in the person of Your Eminence and Wise leader.
Deign, Most Reverend Bishop, for the good deed shown to us, to accept from us this holy image of Saint Alexis, the man of God, whose name you bear. May He preserve your precious life for the moral and mental advancement of your flock for many years to come. We, in our simple hearts, will offer a prayer to God for the granting of good health to you and we command all our descendants to remember and commemorate their Benefactor in prayer.”
The representative from the Zemstvo, L. N. Kapatsinsky, made the following speech:
“Your Eminence. Allow me, a modest public figure, on behalf of the Zemstvo, as a member of the School Council, to greet you on this national holiday, when all of us who have arrived here experience such joyful, bright moments. Welcoming you as the creator of a new hotbed of public education, I cannot help but say a few words in passing about the role of parochial schools that they played in the history of our fatherland. Both monasteries and parochial schools were the first pioneers in creating education for the masses in Rus', and the first rays of light, rays of knowledge illuminated the darkness that had hitherto reigned through the windows of monasteries and parochial schools. We should not forget about the difficult struggle that the first enlighteners had to wage against the inveterate inertia of the people. And only with a warm word and their example did the rural shepherds, these great workers in the people's field, convince the population of the need and benefits of education. Church-parochial schools were not built by a rich owner - our Zemstvo, but they were sculpted by a poor hard-working village priest, asking the villagers for a piece of land and heating and security for the school. Let there always be in our hearts at least the memory of these creators of public education, selflessly devoted to their holy work. Years have passed, much has changed in the internal routine of our homeland. Public self-awareness stirred up, entire cadres of Russian intelligentsia were created, and at the single word of the Great Reformer of Russia, the Russian Zemstvo Self-Government was created. Among the first tasks, the Zemstvo took upon itself the responsibility of educating our people. And if at this time our parochial schools, like a tired knight, would lay down sword and spear and cede their great post to their elder brother, then the merit of parochial schools would be endlessly great and a fair assessment would occupy the best pages in history of Russian education. But this knight is not tired, but inspired by some radiant power, he still holds high the banner entrusted to him, and only the army around him grows, increasing every year more and more in the form of a thousand-strong mass of our peasant children and youth. There is a belief among the broad masses of our intelligentsia that someone has instilled in them that parochial schools have already outlived their usefulness, that it is time for them to hand over the matter of public education to the Zemstvo; there is also the conviction that the Zemstvo is supposedly waging some kind of struggle with the parochial schools. schools. This belief dates back to the times when parochial schools were more like literacy schools, when the village deacon unwisely taught a little bit of everything to the children, and of course it was difficult to ask for a broad plan and extensive knowledge from such a public school. But few people are interested in what has happened over these many years in the development of the parish school; almost none of our intelligentsia has probably never seen what is being taught and how it is being taught at the present time in these schools. Being a member of the Zemstvo School Council, I became interested in the reasons for the above-mentioned convictions, and in this case I cannot help but bring my deep gratitude to the highly respected Vasily Gavrilovich Dobronravov, who was the first to force me to approach this sensitive issue closely. And now I am happy to testify before you, Vladyka, before all the distinguished guests present here, that teaching in parochial schools now does not leave much to be desired, that all the complaints about this school in this area are the result of complete ignorance of this school. Having repeatedly taken exams in parochial schools, I was amazed at the depth of knowledge that students showed in the field of the Law of God, the Russian language and History. Let our Zemstvo schools have a broader program, let the student become acquainted with a whole range of general education sciences, in parochial schools there is already a program, but the field is plowed deeper, there is no superficial knowledge, but the whole program breathes something strong, healthy. And don’t believe, Vladyka, that in our district, at least, there is some kind of discord between zemstvo and parochial schools. How two sisters who love each other do both schools a great holy work, how mothers meet peasant children, these poor orphans, and with their love, with their affection they bring a lot of light into the child’s heart, and by opening up the horizon of knowledge before him they create from him a good, healthy son of ours. the great motherland of Russia. Our peasant is not spoiled by either affection or participation. He sees little joy in his life, little moral support in moments of spiritual sorrow, in days of everyday grief and worries. That's why - he endlessly appreciates everything that is given to him to improve his peasant life. And I sensitively experience in my soul the festive mood that reigns today among the local villagers of Yuryevets, when every peasant from this day has the right to say that he has his own peasant school in the village. This school will be the pride of this village and in honor of whose name the bright Builder names it, in the heart of the peasant this school will always be connected with the name of the Builder Archbishop Alexy. What can I, Vladyka, wish for you, as a tireless sower in the people’s field? As from the window of this school the horizon stretches wide and cloudless distances are visible, may the horizon of light and knowledge also expand widely before those who will take our place here tomorrow, before the peasant children, this faithful and strong support of our faith and our homeland! I will also say a word to you, to whom the Lord has entrusted the holy and great task of educating and raising a child. Let the old but eternally young words of Nekrasov wind through your work like a red thread: “sow the reasonable, the good, the eternal! Sow! The Russian people will thank you heartily.” And on my own behalf I will add: “Let all your work be warmed like the sun by the words of a poet! God bless you! Forward!"
His Eminence Eugene, Bishop of Yuryevsky, on behalf of the members of the Diocesan School Council, thanked His Eminence for His attentive attitude towards parochial schools. He compared his attitude towards schools to the attitude of Moses towards the daughters of Jethro when they tended the flocks.
After the prayer service, those present were offered tea.

« HOLIDAY "BOW"(D. Yurievets, Vlad. u.).
Having accepted patronage over the village of Yuryevets through the sent representatives, the printing workers themselves wanted to see and get acquainted with the peasants of the sponsored village.
For this purpose, the celebration of the bond between the worker and the peasant was scheduled for June 24, Sunday.
Departure.
On Sunday, June 24, at 5 pm, cars and trucks, crowded with workers and youth, set off from the printing house premises.
At the first, a red poster catches your eye:
- “Greetings to the peasants of the village of Yuryevets from the boss - printing workers and journalists of the city of Vladimir.”
This same car also contains gifts for the sponsored village - the most necessary items for school and... smoking paper for smoking peasants.
On the second there is a poster with the slogan:
- “Long live the union of workers and peasants - the key to victory over the bourgeoisie.”
Football players from members of the RKSM-printers and a brass band ride in this car.
Propaganda for aviation.
Outside the city, in Yamskaya Sloboda, a truck is driven by a passenger car, also with ours, also to a sponsored village...
50 people sat in cars, talking, joking, singing - having fun.
But it’s not just fun - we don’t forget to campaign for aviation, for the creation of an air fleet. We throw stacks of “ultimatum” leaflets from our cars, they are quickly snatched up by the gawking public and read right away.
The leaflets are like white doves flitting behind the car and this somehow makes it even more fun.
And we were waiting for you, we went to meet you.
In the village, people can still be seen from afar near the school. - We drive in with music, calling all the peasants out into the street.
Everyone goes to school. Children cannot keep up with adults and run away, looking at the uniforms of football players and the trumpets of musicians.
We disembark, say hello, and say a few exclamations:
- And we thought that you wouldn’t come. After all, we all went to meet you outside the village. Today seven villages have come to our village and everyone envy us that we have such a boss...
The school is having a formal meeting.
The music is playing "Internationale". Now a ceremonial meeting is opening with the transfer of gifts from the boss to the peasants.
There is a table on the porch of the school, next to it is a sponsored commission, the chairmen of the village councils (there are two societies in the village), old peasants holding the red posters they brought.
Comrade Vinogradov says:
- “We came to you in order to go into battle together with you against darkness and ignorance, we came to you to fraternize with you, to get acquainted and become friends seriously and for a long time... Long live the closest union of workers and peasants. Hooray!..
Hundreds of healthy, fresh voices pick up this cheer and it rushes across the fields, awakening sleeping fields, driving away darkness and ignorance...
Next comes the transfer of gifts. They brought notebooks, pens, ink, posters, portraits of the leaders of the revolution, geographical maps, a globe, several books, etc.
Interviews, dancing, football.
After the meeting we break into groups. The Yuryev football players and our team immediately started a competition near the school. - The guys get excited, sometimes they scold each other strongly, but that’s okay, it’s in the heat of the moment. They will stop playing and form an even stronger comradely bond.
Our people are camped among the peasants and are having “some” conversations, while the youth are having a dance...
Suddenly, instead of “polka,” it’s Russian... Instantly a circle is formed and an old peasant pushes into the middle, “straighten his bones,” “yes, such figures are starting to leave,” which would be shameful for even a young person.
Our people dance Russian too.
- This is our way!.. nodding his beard, some gray-haired old man snorts, and he himself is also closer to the circle. Feet are itchy...
- Go away, old man, it’s a holiday, and what a holiday at that. We have a revolution, dance, grandpa!..
- Oh, yes, yes, that’s it, grandfather!.. Eh-eh, - eh-eh!..
The rain got in the way.
I wanted to organize a meeting with young people, organize a union and those who wanted to eat even from other villages, but the rain got in the way, so I had to get into cars and drive to the house...
- You come to us already and next Sunday, we will meet you, we will go far beyond the village!..
“Absolutely,” our guys answer, and their little eyes are sparkling.
- How good they are, how kind they are - you won’t go wrong with people like that!..
- Well, football players, how much did they give you?..
- We are equally divided; Golik - more harmless.
But their field is very bad, completely uncomfortable.
- We should take them to the city.
- Well, we’ll go one more time ourselves, and then we’ll invite them, they won’t refuse tea and come visit us on a holiday.
“We’ll show them everything and take them to the theater.”
And our people talk for a long time about the trip to Yuryevets - everyone likes the trip, they like the teacher, the peasants, the youth, and even the village itself...
And the rain just keeps lashing and lashing.
It got to us, it hurt us, but it didn’t discourage us from visiting our peasant friends and will never discourage us...
"(Newspaper "Call", June 28, 1923).
Having arrived in the sponsored village, the printing workers on Sunday July 8, 1923 organized a RKSM cell there from the youth of the village. The cell included 31 people, including 2 girls.
« On Bolshaya Vladimirskaya.
“Call” receives statements that on the Moskovskoye Highway, near the villages of Yuryevets and Rukava, robbers sometimes attack passers-by, rob them and inflict severe beatings with stones, etc. They attack at dusk and even at about 9 a.m. .
The writers ask Gubrozysk to visit these places and catch the robbers. One of these places is called. “Bird's Nests” (newspaper “Prazyv”, October 18, 1923).

Yuryevets was founded in 1958 as a village attached to a plant for the production and impregnation of supports.
On June 9, 1964, the settlement of Yuryevets, Vladimir rural district, was classified as a workers' settlement (urban-type settlement) and transferred to the subordination of the Vladimir City Council of Workers' Deputies. This historic decision was made in the realities of Khrushchev's reforms. At that time there were two regional councils - industrial and rural. In order to subordinate Yuryevets to the Vladimir City Council, a joint decision of the executive committees of both regional Councils of Working People's Deputies was required. The rapprochement between Yuryevets and Vladimir continued: since 1973, when districts appeared in Vladimir, the village was assigned to the Leninsky district. At the same time, the structures of village power were still preserved.
Yuryevets finally lost signs of independence on January 1, 2006, when it became a microdistrict within the Leninsky district of the city of Vladimir.

FGU "Federal Center for Animal Health" (FGU "ARRIAH")

Federal Center for Animal Health

In 1958, the All-Union Research Institute of Foot and Mouth Disease (VNIYAR) was created.
Since 1992 - All-Russian Research Institute for Animal Protection (ARRIAH).
Since 2003 - Federal Center for Animal Health Protection (FSI "ARRIAH").
The center's specialization is the scientific development of tools and methods for diagnosis, prevention, treatment and measures to combat infectious animal diseases, the production of highly effective environmentally friendly veterinary medicines.
The strategy for combating infectious animal diseases is based on scientifically based programs for the prevention and elimination of disease outbreaks on farms, taking into account the analysis of the epizootic situation. Developments are carried out in the following laboratories:
common diseases for different animal species;
molecular diagnostics of cattle diseases;
Marek's disease;
pig diseases;
foot and mouth disease and vesicular diseases;
bird diseases;
vaccine preparations for poorly studied diseases;
molecular diagnostics of avian diseases;
biotechnology;
microbiology with a testing center;
molecular virology;
epizootology of bird diseases;
applied virology;
diseases of cattle.

The center works on the problems of molecular biology of infectious disease agents and molecular epizootology with the aim of improving existing and developing new tools for diagnosing and preventing diseases of farm animals.
Diagnostic studies to identify and differentiate pathogens and/or antibodies to them are carried out in the following areas:
bird diseases;
diseases of large and small livestock;
pig diseases;
carnivore diseases.

Laboratory scientists provide consultations on diagnostic methods and measures to combat animal diseases, diagnostic studies using both traditional (RSK, RDP, RID, RIGA, PH, RZ) and the most modern research methods (ELISA, MFA, PCR and sequencing). tion of genome fragments of pathogens).
From various regions, about 1,000 samples of pathological material and over 80,000 samples of blood serum are delivered to the Center annually for research.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation entrusted the “ARRIAH” with the functions of the Basic Center for Molecular Diagnostics (since 1995) and the Federal Diagnostic Center for Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy and Animal Rabies (since 1999).

The Center produces more than 200 types of highly effective drugs for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of all types of animals, incl. about 70 vaccines, 70 diagnostic drugs, more than 60 chemotherapy drugs.
About 5 billion doses of vaccines and over 3,600 kits for diagnosing animal diseases are produced annually.
