Primorsky Territory is one of the subjects of the Russian Far East, bordering the Khabarovsk Territory, the Sakhalin Region, the People's Republic of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and washed by the Sea of Japan. Almost ten settlements of the region are equated to regions of the Far North. In addition to the mainland, Primorye includes numerous groups of islands. Primorsky Krai has a well-developed network of railways and roads, an international airport and several helipads, as well as sea ports that play an important role in the region's transport links. The largest cities are Vladivostok, Nakhodka, Artem, Ussuriysk, Partizansk.

Primorsky Krai is rich in a number of large and unique deposits of various minerals: fluorspar, tungsten, lead, tin, coal, non-ferrous metals (including silver and gold), boron. Numerous medical and sanatorium complexes operate based on underground mineral and mud springs. In recent years, promising developments of deposits of precious stones (diamonds, corundum, sapphires, opals and others) have been carried out, and oil and gas production has been intensified.
The national composition is quite diverse: Russians, Ukrainians and Belarusians, Koreans and Chinese, Tatars, Uzbeks and Mordovians, Armenians and Azerbaijanis, as well as indigenous peoples - Nanais, Tazy and Udege. The main religion is Orthodoxy, but Old Believers, Islam, Buddhism, the Mormon organization and other faiths are also widespread. The administrative division is urban districts and municipal districts, which include both urban and rural settlements.
The main economically profitable industrial sectors are oil production and transportation, rock mining, chemical production, fishing, and commercial shipping.
Primorye is rich in all kinds of attractions, which attracts a huge number of tourists throughout the year. For example, the fortification museum “Vladivostok Fortress” is a unique military-historical site that has no analogues in the world, and the Shaiginskoye settlement is a natural monument to the ancient state of Jing. The Sukhanov House Museum is the only Far Eastern museum of its kind, the exhibitions of which tell about the life and everyday life of a tsarist official. The Vladivostok funicular offers stunning views of the city panorama, which is especially beautiful at night. Nakhodka “Stone of Friendship” is a memorial sign in honor of the sister cities. Car roads
According to the satellite map of the Primorsky Territory, you can see that the road network of Primorye is rather poorly developed. There are only three federal highways in the region. The remaining roads are of regional importance. Federal roads:
- - road A371 Vladivostok - Russky Island;
- - Ussuri highway (formerly M60, now A370), a 760-kilometer road running from Khabarovsk to Ussuriysk via Vladivostok.
- - federal highway “Vostok”: currently under construction, the planned length upon completion is 825 kilometers.

- - 05A-608: highway connecting Vladivostok and the Ussuri highway with the port of Vostochny and Nakhodka;
- - 05A-192: connection “Ussuri” with Khankaisky and Khorolsky districts of the region;
- - 05K-195: connects the Ussuri highway (405th and 433rd kilometers) with Lesozavodsk;
- - 05K-442: connects the northeast of the region with the center;
- - 05K-451: connects highway 05N-131 with the village of Zapovednoye;
- - 05N-100: road from Osinovka (Ussuri highway) to the northern and central regions of the region;
- - 05N-131: Osinovka (“Ussuri”) - Rudnaya Pristan;
- - 05N-263: connects “Ussuri” with three districts of the region (Khorolsky, Khankaysky and Pogranichny).
Railways
Vladivostok, the capital of the region, is reached by the Trans-Siberian Railway, connecting the capital of the Russian Federation with the largest cities in the east of the country. The Ocean branded train runs daily from Moscow to Vladivostok and back. The length of railways exceeds 1,500 kilometers.
