Last year's statistics (September survey by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion) indicate that of the total number of respondents surveyed, 23% went on tourist trips. Of these, only 4% went abroad, 16% vacationed on the Black Sea coast and in other cities of Russia. The same trend towards an increase in the number of people wishing to holiday in their own country continues this year.
