The College of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia is one of the oldest state educational institutions of secondary vocational education. The educational institution graduates specialists in documentation support for management and archival science. Today the College is one of the leaders in training specialists in this professional field.

Admission to the College is based on the average score of the certificate. Admission to part-time education is carried out on the basis of basic general education (11 grades) or secondary, higher and incomplete higher education.

College teachers are honored workers of Russian education, who over the years have proven their professional competence and ability to instill in students an interest in the subjects they study. The absence of staff turnover and the growth of teachers’ experience leads to the development of effective modular methodological complexes that are used by all teaching specialists.

During professional training, students are offered to master various cycles of disciplines that provide comprehensive training in the humanitarian field. Students consider such areas of today's science as general humanitarian and socio-economic subjects, mathematical and natural science cycles, general professional and professional modules. Solid experience in research activities guarantees a high place and well-established connections of the teaching staff in the global scientific community, which allows students and graduates to continue their education and scientific research. A significant proportion of graduates choose higher education, enrolling on preferential terms in leading universities in the capital (MIRBIS, RSUH, ATiSO, ENGINEERING MAI). Many students receive higher education while studying at the College.

The college is located in a comfortable new building, where classrooms and thirteen computer classes are equipped for a high-tech and effective educational process. Additional technical capabilities are provided for modern teaching of foreign languages, office work, the basics of computer processing of documentation and other specialized disciplines.

The educational work of the educational institution includes all the most important areas: moral (conversations, psychological meetings), military-patriotic (reviews, competitions), sports (competitions, federal, regional and city events), aesthetic (college-based competitions, design work), labor and volunteer movement. The college has several creative groups, including dance, theater and computer clubs.

Recognized and recognized by many employers. In many cases, the employer, seeing that you have received a diploma College of Foreign Affairs, and in particular, a diploma with honors may already form an impression of you as a good specialist. And although this will not replace your interview and entrance tests for a job, a diploma as a secretary-assistant College MFA- is prestigious.

How to enter the College of Foreign Affairs?

Website MFA College: college-mid.ru

First you need to decide which department you will enroll in. The college has two departments: daytime (full-time) and evening (part-time). Don't let the word part-time or part-time confuse you. You will have to attend classes only slightly less than in the full-time department :-)

Day department accepts students on the basis of 11 grades of the school - in the budget and paid departments, as well as students on the basis of higher, incomplete higher and secondary vocational education - in the paid department.

On the basis of the full-time department you can obtain the following specialty:

“Documentation management and archival science.”

1. Basic level: duration of training 1 year 10 months

2. Advanced level: duration of training 2 years 10 months

Students are admitted to the budget department based on the results of entrance exams, about which more details can be found on the website College MFA.

Admission rules and deadlines for submitting documents are on the college website.

The evening department accepts students only on a paid basis. Admission to the evening department is based on an interview. The list of documents required for admission to the evening department can also be found on the college website in the “Part-time” section. There is also a forum on the college website. I encourage you to visit it and see what students write College MFA.

How to study at the College of Foreign Affairs?

It was interesting to note that shorthand is no longer taught in the evening department. Remembering my time in college, I can say that shorthand was one of the most difficult disciplines; we studied it for a whole year. For a long time it was believed that it was best to record events in large commercial structures using shorthand, because this helps maintain a high level of confidentiality.

For some time, knowing the basics of shorthand helped me even at the second university, where I quickly wrote down lectures using abbreviations.

As I already said, it is a state educational institution that provides quality education, which is valued in commercial organizations, so in order to enter and graduate from it, you will need to make an effort.

Can you not be accepted into a paid evening department? Yes they can. If you are studying at college, try to study well. If you have a bad record (many Cs), then it is very possible that you will not be accepted into college.

When I entered college, the head of the academic department who worked at that time did not want to accept me and another student, because we had a lot of C grades (for me this was a separate topic, studying full-time in the 1st-2nd year, I I tried all the time to be independent from my parents and work).

This was followed by an IQ test, which I successfully wrote worse than anyone else. Apparently, since we did not go to a budget department, but to a paid department, we were eventually accepted, but... conditionally, with one bold the condition that we would be expelled from the group after the first session if we did not study properly. Moreover, the head teacher came to my first exam in office management in person.

But still, if you have C grades in your record and you sincerely want to go to the MFA College, don’t give up. Submit your documents. The worst thing that can happen to you is that they simply won’t accept you. Imagine that life is a game, and if at some stage something doesn’t work out, it means that only a separate campaign has been lost, but not the entire game.

And here is the end of my story with studying at College of Foreign Affairs: I graduated with honors. At the institute, starting from the fourth year, I also studied with straight A’s and the teachers unanimously invited me to graduate school. And in 2005 I graduated from the financial university with honors :-) The second student also graduated from college with honors. By the way, some excellent students, whom the head teacher, unlike us, received much more kindly, did not succeed.

Therefore, the most important thing here is your wish. But this must be a sincere and very strong desire, supported by specific efforts. Be prepared to study all day long for almost two years. Absenteeism will be a very serious problem in college. If you study at an institute or work and entered the evening department at college, then you will study or work all day, and in the evening go to college, where classes are held 3-4 times a week; in my case, I often took another a day off, or even two at once. Be prepared for the fact that after returning from college (around 22:00) you will also have to do your homework, and the next morning you will have to get up for work or the first class at college.

But if you really If you want to study, then studying in college for you, as well as for me, will be one of the most interesting: you will have excellent teachers, some of them will be from MGIMO and with experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, you will have exciting classes and practice in commercial organizations . You will meet other girls studying to become a secretary assistant, and perhaps make many new friends.

When you go to an open day, entrance exam or interview, I recommend you. It's simple, but it will immediately communicate your serious intentions. We'll talk about this a little later.

Another important advantage of studying at the college, both full-time and evening, is that the college announces guaranteed employment. This is quite important now, because in an economic downturn, it is often difficult for a newcomer without experience to find a good job. I got my first job with the help of college before I even finished my studies. It was a little difficult to study in two places, and work, and at the same time pass state exams and defend a diploma, but, of course, it was worth it. Just don’t forget to look at the contract with the college regarding terms of employment for any restrictions.
