Tel: Russian Railways Krasnaya Polyana Rosa Khutor. Rosa Khutor station: train and train schedule for the station. How to get from Sochi to Krasnaya Polyana by car

Rosa Khutor station became popular among tourists after the Olympics were held in the village in 2014. With the advent of sports facilities, new railway stations began to appear. One of the most popular was the Rosa Khutor station, which received not only Olympians, but also guests of the city.

And even now the station operates with no less intensity, since a large number of vacationers flock here who want to look at all the objects that appeared as a result of construction for the Olympic Games. In addition to the fact that the Rosa Khutor station is a popular place for delivering passengers, it is also a new object that amazes with its architecture and idea of thought.

Railway station Rosa Khutor 1

Introductory information about the railway station

Previously, the railway station was called Krasnaya Polyana and was located in the village of Esto-Sadok. The Krasnaya Polyana railway station was the last station in the Sochi direction. The place is interesting because by using the railway, you can get quickly and comfortably directly to the ski resort.

On a note! Using the station road, you can see all the attractions located along the route.

The construction of the complex was timed to coincide with the beginning of the Olympic facilities. The modern Krasnaya Polyana station is a place equipped with reliable, modern and spacious premises. The building is two-story, modern, the station area is also quite equipped, and indicates that during its construction, not only the architect who developed the building project put their soul into it.

It is very pleasant to be on its territory, especially since there is a convenient ticket office for purchasing tickets, parking for cars, and a luggage storage room. Not only trains move across the territory, but also electric trains that will bring passengers to the Olympic venues.

On the territory of the waiting rooms there is a free Wi-Fi zone, a large shopping complex, where everyone who did not have time to buy a souvenir at the ski resort can choose something suitable for themselves. There are cafes and restaurants where you can have a delicious meal at a reasonable price.

Near the building there is a platform, which is quite small by Moscow standards, but at the same time copes well with the passenger load at the station. There are also underground pedestrians here, and in order not to get confused among them, there are maps that point in the right direction.

Inside Rosa Khutor station

To make it convenient for all passengers to move around the station, there are turnstiles for people with health restrictions. The place is interesting because its capacity is at least 8 thousand people per hour.

Lifts at Rosa Khutor1

Cable cars, railway stations and all infrastructure facilities appeared that are still in use today. Now Greater Sochi is an interesting place that attracts a huge number of tourists from all over the world.

Since ancient times, Sochi has not been a developed city. There were no transport roads or railways here. Even the trolleybus, which was designed in the Soviet Union, was never launched. Despite the fact that in 2000 the road network began to develop, railway transport links began to decline. But at this time, serious highways appeared along which one could go to Adler or Krasnaya Polyana.

Additional Information! The address of the modern Rosa Khutor station is the village of Estosadok, Olimpiyskaya Street, building 18. Now it is comfortable, convenient and can be reached in any direction.

  • Krasnodar can be reached by 816C at 17:08;
  • If necessary, get to Adler airport by train number 6120 and 6119 at 18:18.

Adler Station

These are just some of the destinations that may be in demand by tourists. And if earlier it was out of the question that you could find yourself in the center of the Krasnodar Territory in a matter of time, now it is enough to purchase boarding passes and go along the chosen route.

New electric trains “Lastochka” run on the territory of Rosa Khutor. They are comfortable and convenient. There is an air conditioner inside each carriage, which is very important when you are in an area with a fairly hot climate. In addition, automatic doors are installed. The carriage has a ticker that provides information to tourists, as well as a display that regularly displays the outside temperature.

Using local railway transport, a tourist will receive a lot of positive emotions.

The Rosa Khutor mountain resort, located on the slopes of the Aibga ridge, was built for the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi. Now you can go skiing and snowboarding without leaving Russia and counting on a good level of service. There are colorful buildings and beautiful nature.

"Rosa Khutor" is a mountain resort in the Krasnaya Polyana region of the Krasnodar Territory. The ski center hosted the 2014 Olympic Games in alpine skiing, snowboarding and freestyle skiing. Now everyone can go skiing without leaving Russia. In the 2014/15 winter season, which lasted 136 days - from December 27 to May 11, more than 600,000 visitors visited Rosa Khutor.

01. Platform of the new Adler station. From here you can get to Krasnaya Polyana by train coming from Sochi. For the summer of 2015, “Swallows” were launched from the Olympic Park. The station is not bad, but a number of things require improvement. First you need to kick out the vile taxi driver mafia.

Krasnaya Polyana is a village founded in 1868. For a long time, the name of the village was associated with the recreation of the top officials of the state. The Sochi Olympics gave new impetus to the resort. If you drive along the road from Adler, first you will see the village of the same name itself, then Esto-Sadok (a village of former Estonian settlers), and at the end Rosa Khutor, whose railway station until October 2014 was called “Krasnaya Polyana”, causing some confusion.

02. “Swallow” was created on the basis of the German Siemens Desiro. Since 2014, it has been mass-produced at Ural Locomotives in Verkhnyaya Pyshma near Yekaterinburg. Compared to standard electric trains, this is a breakthrough for Russian Railways. In the European part of Russia they are gradually being introduced in a number of areas. But it’s one thing to get to Rosa Khutor, and another to be stuck in it for 4-5 hours.

03. Rosa Khutor station, opened in 2013, is the final station of the Adler - Krasnaya Polyana road. The combined road and railway route cost 285 billion rubles (the most expensive construction project of the Olympics), which is estimated to be almost 2 times more expensive than the market value.

To the north of the strip of settlements stretching along the banks of the mountain river Mzymta, there is the patrimony of Gazprom, including the Laura ski and biathlon complex. During the Olympics, as you might guess, cross-country skiing and biathlon took place there. After its completion, unfortunately, big sport left Laura, and even domestic competitions are not held there.

04. Opposite the station is Alpika-Service, founded in 1992 and acquired by Gazprom in 2008.

Alpika-Service plans to launch children's entertainment tours, mountain bike trails, a rope park, a museum, excursion tours to the Sanki center, a complex of attractions and ecological themed trails on the Aibga and Psekhako ridges.

05. The Psekhako-II-A3 cable car, 5370 meters long and located on the southwestern slope of the Psekhako ridge, goes to the left. Ascent to a height of 1646 meters. Then you can go to “Laura”, higher into the mountains, or return to the lower station of the Gazprom cable cars, where the social and cultural center “Galaktika” was built (water park, ice arena, children's interactive development club, bowling alley, 3 cinema halls). To my shame, I didn’t get to it, although it was there that the Women’s World Chess Championship was held in March-April.

The southern part of Mzymta is much more interesting (it is the one in the photo). The Sanki bobsleigh track continues to be used. Also here, for the Olympics, the Rosa Khutor extreme park with two stadiums (a snowboard park and a freestyle center) and a complex of ski slopes were built. Russian alpine skiing championships continue to be held here even after the completion of the Games. In February 2012, the Rosa Khutor ski resort hosted the Alpine Ski World Cup stage for the first time in Russia. Also in February 2016, Rosa Khutor will host the Junior World Alpine Ski Championships.

07. Beginning of the Rosa Khutor resort. Rosa Dolina with hotels and restaurants is located at an altitude of 560 meters above sea level. To get to the highest point, you need to turn left from the station, cross Mzymta along the bridge, walk along the embankment to the town hall and turn right to the ski lifts. It’s interesting that no one mentioned such a simple thing either in their reports or on the resort’s websites.

08. Mzymta River. Local environmentalists are very dissatisfied with the Olympic construction and human invasion of the local nature. They are quite understandable. This is a separate topic that needs to be given much more attention.

09. Along the pedestrian embankments there are hotels, restaurants and various shops.

10. There is even a skating rink with a hockey rink. This is an attempt to make the resort interesting all year round and not limited to alpine skiing.

11. The Golden Tulip and Radisson chain hotels operate.

12. Park Inn. Prices in summer are cheaper than in the coastal cluster. In winter it’s the other way around and the price tag can be hefty. There are options with small houses.

13. An attempt at European style. Town Hall with a tower stylized as the tower of the Sochi railway station.

14. The most popular direction of cable cars: “Olympia” (560-1150 meters), “Reserved Forest” (1150-1340) and “Caucasian Express” (1340-2320).

15. Below is Rose Valley with hotels and a train station. I was lucky: I visited on the last day of operation of the cable cars. From May 12 to June 3, the main lifts were closed for maintenance before the summer season. If you are afraid of heights, this may be uncomfortable. Periodically, the cabins stop and it can happen, as it happened to me, that for about seven minutes you will be dangling over the abyss, swayed by the wind, and with the cabin jerking back and forth.

16. Mountain Olympic Village.

17. Rose Plateau (1170 meters above sea level). The views are, of course, stunning. Athletes lived here during the 2014 Olympics.

18. To get to Rose Peak you need to change from ski lift to ski lift. Nothing complicated.

19. Map of roads and routes. There are quite a lot of them.

20. The peculiarity of cable cars is that some sections are very low above the ground, and some are located a hundred meters above it. It’s much more comfortable to look at photos from the sofa at home :)

21. The local artificial snow system for pistes is the largest in Europe. Here you can ski and snowboard.

You can now go skiing in Russia. There are many flights to Adler (Sochi International Airport), and trains run regularly to the brand new station. From there, Swallows, comfortable for this type of trip, depart several times a day to Rosa Khutor. True, I don’t know how they are in the winter with a set of equipment and skis. Travel time to Rosa Khutor is 45 minutes. On the banks of the Mzymta, where the ski lifts are located, there are many new chain hotels. It may be cheaper to ride in Europe, but some alternative has already appeared.

22. So we got to Rose Peak - 2320 meters above sea level. It was cloudy.

23. The snow has already melted from some of the mountains.

24. What do they say? The only things steeper than mountains are mountains!

25. The Krasnodar region has a unique nature. In two hours you can get from the lulling seashore to the majestic mountains. Remember KVN? “If there is a paradise in the world, then this is the Krasnodar region.”

26. On Rosa Peak the temperature is about zero and a sweater and jacket will not hurt.

27. The top of the restaurant. You can dine at altitude. If, of course, finances allow.

28. We return to Rose Valley. Town Hall.

In the Valley they ride bicycles and sunbathe in the Rosa Beach beach area. In warmer months, in the Rosa Khutor area there is a rope amusement park called PandaPark, located in the mountains at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea level. The routes contain trolley slopes, climbing walls, suspension bridges, beams, ropes and more. There also seem to be buggy tours and horseback riding.

30. Nature is very diverse.

31. Embankment. In the distance you can directly see the village of Esto-Sadok (although Rosa Khutor is formally part of it) from Gorki Gorod. From there, cable cars also go to the mountains. In principle, Rosa Khutor and Gorki Gorod (Mountain Carousel) are two neighboring competing resorts.

Of course, this is not a full-fledged report on the diversity of Rosa Khutor. I was limited in opportunities and time. However, it is quite possible to get a general idea about this resort. Of course, Olympic investments will never pay off - the road here is golden, but if you have the money, then it’s worth coming here at least once for the sake of interest.

32. That's all. Time to go home.

I liked Rosa Khutor. Different air, stunning views, excellent nature. Lots of modern and pleasing things to look at. Of course, there are plenty of controversial things and various shortcomings. Adding variety to your vacation and trying something new is always great and adds positive emotions. If the occasion presents itself, I will return here with pleasure! :)

33. The best gratitude for my reporting is your comments!

The popular ski resort Krasnaya Polyana is located surrounded by mountains on the southern slope of the Caucasus Range. Finding travel companions

There are usually also a lot of fellow travelers on this route: many work at the resort and are ready to give rides to those who wish. Convenient for those who plan their trip in advance and want to save time and money.

From the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union until 2013, Krasnaya Polyana could only be reached in one way - by car. Once upon a time, regular helicopters flew there from Adler airport, and this was the fastest route, twelve minutes and you are in Krasnaya Polyana. But that's someday.

And we would have traveled there by car for a long time, but the Olympics came, and with it the transport obligations. In a short time, a railway and four railway stations were built: “Adler”, “Olympic Park”, “Esto-Sadok” and “Krasnaya Polyana”.

ADLER STATION

The main and largest of them is the station in Adler. The station took four years to build. Its architecture is modern, based on metal and glass, and its silhouette resembles a wave rolling onto the shore. The designers were the Omsk company NPO Mostovik and the English company Arup. The opening ceremony took place in October 2013 with the participation of the most distinguished guests: Vladimir Putin, Thomas Bach, Dmitry Kozak, Vladimir Yakunin and Alexander Tkachev.

The building was built over the railway tracks and, like a bridge, connects the urban part of Adler with the seashore. There are transport areas on both sides of the station. Under the station building there are 10 tracks and 5 platforms for long-distance and suburban trains. It united the central districts of Sochi, the Imereti Lowland with the Olympic Park, Adler International Airport and the mountain resorts of Krasnaya Polyana. The terminal itself can accommodate up to 2,300 passengers. The building has three levels. On the ground floor, on the south and north sides, there are entrance areas equipped with security systems and screening of passengers and hand luggage. The second floor is a spacious hall. There are ticket offices, cafes, toilets, clothing and footwear stores, sporting goods and resort goods, a confectionery shop, souvenir shops, a minimarket, a communications salon, a service center, storage lockers. In the western part of the station there are exits to the platform equipped with turnstiles and an elevator for passengers with limited health capabilities. On the south side, the station is equipped with a spacious open pedestrian bridge, from which you can go down to bus stops and the embankment. This is also a magnificent observation deck; it offers a stunning view of the coast, both towards Sochi and Adler.

On the third floor there are waiting rooms, a business room, a children's playroom, and souvenir shops.

On the eastern side, the old Adler station adjoins the new station complex. It has retained its original appearance and has become a nice corner of a huge modern transport infrastructure. There is a 24-hour luxury waiting room, a Russian Railways history museum (with many amazing exhibits), a canteen, air and railway ticket offices, and a minimarket.

OLYMPIC PARK RAILWAY STATION

From the Adler railway station to the Olympic Park station you can get with increased comfort by the Lastochka train express train. Travel time is 10 minutes. The Olympic Park station is located in the Imereti Lowland, between the Mzymta and Psou rivers, a few tens of meters from the entrance to the Olympic Park. The station building is shaped like a flying bird. The two-level station square is connected by its upper part to the station building, platforms and the main staircase with a fountain, descending to the entrance square to the Olympic Park. The lower part of the station square is a bus station with platforms for public transport and taxis.

The station building was designed and constructed as an innovative green construction facility. Saving resources during its operation is achieved through energy-saving glass and façade shading structures, modern automatic ventilation systems, water sensors, and solar panels.

The building of the station complex housed ticket offices, storage rooms, information desks, a cafe, a bank, a restaurant, mother and child rooms, a medical unit, shops, waiting rooms, rooms for VIP passengers, and a hall for official delegations. Passengers are transported to different levels of the station using stairs, escalators and elevators. Particular attention was paid to people with limited mobility. The station is equipped with all the latest systems for their movement. The station can accommodate up to 8,500 passengers at the same time.

From the Olympic Park station you can take the Lastochka express train not only to Adler, but also to Krasnaya Polyana.

RAILWAY STATIONS "ESTO-SADOK" AND "KRASNAYA POLYANA" ("ROSA KHUTOR")

The railway stations "Esto-Sadok" and "Krasnaya Polyana" ("Rosa Khutor") are located on the left bank of the Mzymta River near the village of Esto-Sadok, behind the village of Krasnaya Polyana. Moreover, the first station on the route from Adler is the Esto-Sadok station, and the final one is Krasnaya Polyana. Although in reality the opposite is true. This is done for the convenience of tourists who are heading to the mountain resorts Rosa Khutor, Gorki Gorod and Laura, and the Krasnaya Polyana brand is well known to them. From the Adler station to the Krasnaya Polyana station is about 50 km. Travel time is 40 minutes.

Unlike the new railway stations of the seaside cluster “Adler” and “Olympic Park”, the stations of the mountain cluster are also built the other way around. If the Adler stations are located above the railway tracks and platforms, then the Krasnopolyanskie stations are located below them. If in Adler you need to go up to the station, then in Krasnaya Polyana you need to go down from the platform. But they are all united by one architectural concept and built from similar materials. Both stations have a standard set of services: ticket offices, information desks, lockers, a first-aid post, a buffet, toilets, waiting rooms, vending machines with soft drinks, and souvenir shops. But there are some differences. For example, on the ground floor of the Krasnaya Polyana station there was an original Samovar snack bar. Here you can drink hot tea or coffee with fresh pastries, and all this within 100 rubles. I would like to note the electronic information and reference system for the city of Sochi installed at both stations in Russian and English. It was installed to help guests of the city, but in one of them (at the Krasnaya Polyana station) the information has not been updated since the Olympic Games, and the quality of the information itself can hardly be called good, there is a lot of confusion and nonsense. At the Esto-Sadok station, the device was turned on, but did not respond to requests.

Within walking distance from the stations there are cable car stations to the Olympic venues “jumping hills” (Esto-Sadok station), bobsleigh track and skiing and biathlon complex (Krasnaya Polyana (Rosa Khutor) station) and bus stations for public transport.
