Where to have a good holiday in the UAE: tips for tourists. Prices for food in cafes and restaurants in the Emirates where it is cheaper

Cafes and restaurants in the UAE in their usual sense are the prerogative of wealthy people. The cost of dinner there can be simply exorbitant, especially when it comes to... If you want to save money, then the best way would be to either purchase a tour in the “” format or go to the supermarket on your own.

Considering that 1 dirham is approximately equal to 18 rubles (at the exchange rate as of September 2019), then the prices are very impressive:

  • soups - from 40 dirhams,
  • sushi (Japanese restaurant) - 30-45,
  • kebab – 35-55 (depending on serving size),
  • briki (meat pies) - 25-32,
  • al-madruba (thickly salted boiled fish) - 17,
  • fried shark – 40,
  • desserts – 35,
  • coffee - 15.

Total average cost in dirhams:

  • breakfast - from 60;
  • lunch - from 100;
  • dinner - from 170.

In the cafe, everything is a little more modest - you won’t find sharks or sushi there. Mostly local workers and not too wealthy tourists eat there. However, the menu is quite decent - there is shawarma, kebab, and burgers:

  • breakfast - from 25 dirhams;
  • lunch - from 40 dirhams;
  • dinner - from 90 dirhams.

By the way, a standard set at a local McDonald's (burger and cola) is 22 dirhams.

Prices for food and alcohol

The UAE is a Muslim country with very strict laws regarding the sale of alcohol. In some emirates (for example, Sharjah) it is completely prohibited. In Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman - sold in the "non-Muslim products" section of the supermarket. You can also find pork there, the consumption of which is prohibited in Muslim countries.

Cost of food

Food prices in the UAE today are impressive. The vast majority of goods in the UAE are imported, and the receipts are higher than Russian ones, although not for everything (the cost is given in dirhams):

  • bread - 4.5;
  • milk - 5.5;
  • eggs - 10;
  • cheese - 32;
  • chicken (1 kg) - 25;
  • beef (1 kg) - 36;
  • any fruits - 6-8;
  • any vegetables - from 4 to 10.

Please note that in UAE supermarkets, ready-made meals are cheaper than lunch in a cafe. A great way to save (price is in Dirhams):

  • samsa - 2.5;
  • soup - 4-5;
  • kebab - from 3.

Wine, strong alcoholic drinks

To avoid unnecessary problems with the police in the UAE, it is recommended to purchase alcohol at duty free and consume it in your hotel room. You can be fined up to Dh5,000 for being drunk on the street.

  • wine (750 ml) - from 50 to 120;
  • local beer (0.5 l) - 20-40;
  • imported beer (0.33 l) - 33.

Prices in stores and shopping centers

There are seven emirates in the UAE, each of which has different shopping experiences in terms of prices and quality of goods. The leaders are Dubai and, which are able to offer guests luxury shopping centers with exclusive goods. You can get from one emirate to another by car: the price of gasoline is 1.8 dirhams per liter.

Dishes

In the Emirates, souvenir tableware comes down mainly to coffee pots and a set of small bowls for drinking coffee - everything else is, as a rule, Chinese products.

A coffee pot is not only one of the symbols of the UAE (coffee is a Bedouin drink), but also an excellent souvenir that will become a stylish element of the interior. Can be purchased in both silver and hand-made ceramics. The cost varies from 50 to 400 dirhams.

Antiques

Antique items in the UAE should only be bought at bazaars - shops in large shopping centers charge impossible prices for outright Chinese-made props.

Take the time to visit the famous Dubai Gold Souk, where you can find antiques made of precious metals, or Al Arsa Souk (Sharjah). There is a huge amount of antiques at reasonable prices: daggers, jewelry and other colorful oriental things. Prices start from 5 dirhams.

Jewelry

Visiting the UAE and leaving without gold is simply not serious. This is where the machines with gold bars are located, and silver is not considered at all to be any kind of serious jewelry.

The center of jewelry trade is Dubai: there are a huge number of boutiques here, including the world famous Gold and Diamond Park, Golden Sky Jewelery and the huge The Dubai Mall, which has more than 50 premium salons. The cost of a gram of a product without inlay with precious stones starts from 55 euros. By the way, even here you can bargain and reduce the price by up to 30 percent.

A more democratic option is to visit the previously mentioned Gold Market (Khalid Bin Waleed Road, Deira 1 42 St.). There is a huge amount of jewelry here, including handmade items. But there is also dumping control: in front of the entrance there is a special information board with prices - they simply won’t sell you gold below the minimum price.

Shoes and clothing

Arabic shopping means European and American brands for big money. Real shopping in the UAE (or rather, in Dubai - it is considered the standard) requires a considerable budget - in boutiques you can easily find designer items with a price tag of several thousand dollars.

The most popular places for shopping in Dubai are Emirates Mall and Dubai Mall: easy to find from the corresponding metro stations. You won’t be able to get around the giant stores even in a week: if you seriously decide to compare prices, be prepared to pay for it in time.

For fur coats it is better to go to Deira (Dubai area). There, the cost of the product starts from 25 thousand rubles translated into our money. Among the local clothes, it is best to buy women's silk shawls - they are really high quality, although their prices are steep - from 2-3 hundred dirhams.

Souvenirs and gifts

The following are most often brought from the UAE as souvenirs:

  • Dates in various types and packaging formats. This fruit is a national symbol: it can be bought both in beautiful souvenir boxes and as part of various sweets. Price - from 100 to 300 dirhams. Very small - from 30.
  • Vanilla sticks are spicy and orientally sweet. About 40 dirhams for 2 pieces.
  • Hand-made souvenirs - keychains, bracelets, magnets with images of the Burj Khalifa and other attractions - from 5 to 20 dirhams.
  • All kinds of handmade crafts: for example, ceramic camels (another symbol of the UAE) or embroidered Bedouin pillows. Everything related to national heritage is very expensive in the UAE, but the surroundings are appropriate. Prepare 400-800 dirhams for this.
  • Arabian incense - 6-10 dirhams per package.

The United Arab Emirates is not only a country of sea, sun and sheikhs, but also a mecca for shopaholics. No self-respecting shopping lover will be able to return to their homeland without some acquisitions. There is even a saying: “It’s as difficult to pass by shops in the UAE as it is to miss the sun in Bali.” Two or three shops and at least one market is the minimum for our compatriots. What to buy in the UAE? About thirty or forty years ago you could only buy slippers “a la Hottabych”, a dagger or some kind of carpet. But now everything has changed: numerous shopping malls have sprung up among the desert, attracting fashionistas and fashionistas from all over the world. You can buy absolutely everything there: from perfume and clothes to gold and cars.

Where can I shop?

The most attractive are the three emirates - and Abu Dhabi. If you like to bargain, go to small private shops or markets. And if not, go to shopping malls. There are also so-called (for example, in the port of Dubai), as well as well-known duty free.

The best shopping malls in the Emirates are Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, Wafi City Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall, Deira City Center, Bur Juman and others.

What attracts tourists so much? The answer is simple - prices! Many products cost much less than in our country, since the Emirates has a very low tax on imported goods. But we’ll find out what to buy in the UAE from a small rating.

Top most popular goods in the UAE purchased by our tourists

The question of what can be bought in the UAE is probably asked by any traveler who goes to this mysterious country. Here is the ranking of the most popular products:

  1. It's definitely electronic. Phones, cameras, video cameras, tablets, computers and various household appliances - they account for about 15 percent of all purchases. For example, you can buy a phone in the UAE very cheaply.
  2. Clothing, inexpensive and branded, including fur products - 13 percent.
  3. most often from gold and other precious metals, with or without stones - 11 percent.
  4. 10 percent of the total turnover is perfumes and cosmetics.
  5. 9 percent are cars.
  6. Buying watches accounts for about 7 percent of all purchases.
  7. Next come spices - 6 percent.

The remaining percentage is divided approximately equally between various little things like souvenirs.

Is it possible to buy a fur coat in the UAE?

One of the most profitable purchases is the purchase of a fur coat. In Dubai, you can't buy a fur coat except at a grocery store. More than 300 stores offer fur products, which are divided into two types: branded (fur coats are sold directly from Greek and Italian manufacturers) and those that only resell other people's products. In order to buy a fur coat in the UAE, you should set aside one or even two days of your vacation to leisurely go around several stores, try on the models you like, carefully evaluate the quality of the products and compare prices. Good quality fur should be smooth, shiny, with light undercoat and thick undercoat. The seams on the outside of the product should be almost invisible.

Buying jewelry

Another popular product category is precious metals and stones. Most shopping is done in the famous This is a huge quarter, completely occupied by a myriad of shops. There is probably no such quantity of decorations per 1 square meter anywhere else in the world. There you can find all kinds of products, varying in cost - from cheap to fabulously expensive. Gold jewelry of 18, 21 and 24 carats with diamonds, sapphires, rubies, pearls - everything is very massive, catchy, bright, large and often even tacky. However, the product may be hollow inside: this is done so that the item can be worn without bending to the ground.

Since the residents of the Emirates love the very best, the market has an exhibition sample of the heaviest gold ring in the world, the weight of which (including precious stones) is 63 kg 856 g. As a rule, there are no price tags on the products, or they are there, but there the price written is one that only Rockefeller could easily pay. This is done in order to bargain. Bargaining is in the blood of Eastern people. They truly enjoy a good bargain. Don’t be afraid to bargain, you won’t offend the seller and won’t leave his children hungry: even if he knocks off 30-40 percent of the originally announced price, he will still win.

What to buy cheaply in the UAE? Of course, spices!

Not far from Zolote there is also a spice market. Here you can find everything your heart desires, especially those who are partial to the culinary arts. Mountains of cinnamon, saffron and pepper, jars with rose petals and orchid roots, boxes with mixtures of dried herbs and seeds, bags of dried fruit and packages of oriental sweets are waiting for their customers. You can also find traditional Arabic medicines and incense here.

Perfume heaven

Of course, you can buy perfume in the Emirates! The UAE offers perfumes both of their own production and imported ones, produced under the name of famous brands. The latter should only be purchased at airport duty free, otherwise there is a risk of running into a fake. In addition to outright fakery, there is such a thing as “licensed perfume”. This is not an original or a fake, but a perfume produced under license from the brand in the UAE. Since the license prohibits changes to the fragrant composition of the perfume, the buyer can be sure that the composition will be identical to the original product. But why are they cheaper? The fact is that the production uses cheap labor (usually Pakistanis work for 50-70 dollars a month) and a cheaper bottle, and there are no costs for transporting goods.

As for local oil-based perfume, this is undoubtedly a worthwhile purchase. In addition to regular application to the body, they can be added to aroma lamps, shampoos and shower gels. Amber and musk are included in almost all Omani perfumes. Since they have a fairly strong scent, just 1 drop is enough for the scent to last all day.

What about without gadgets?

Many of our compatriots bring all kinds of gadgets from the Emirates. What can you buy cheaply in the UAE if not electronics? However, there are several rules for purchasing equipment in the UAE. For example, you want to buy a watch in the UAE or a mobile phone. To avoid unnecessary problems, it is best to purchase any electronic goods in large shopping malls or in branded stores. When purchasing, it is advisable to immediately check the IMEI. If according to the data it does not correspond to the product you are buying, then you should not make this purchase: the phone is most likely “gray”. Don’t rush to pay right away, especially if they try to persuade you or push you. Carefully inspect and test the product you are purchasing (case, speaker, cords, connectors, etc.).

What else to buy in the UAE? How about a car?

For the wife - a fur coat, perfume and jewelry, for teenage children - gadgets, but what remains for men? The most important men's toy is a car. Every fifth Russian, while vacationing in the UAE, cherishes the dream of returning home with such an acquisition. The Emirates does not have its own automobile industry, but since the residents of this country are accustomed to changing their “iron horses” at least once every 2-3 years, there is always something to choose from in the automobile market. Excellent roads and climate help maintain the almost factory appearance and quality of the car. The benefit when buying a car in the Emirates is about 30 percent compared to average Russian prices. That is why buying a car in the UAE is a profitable business!

The two most popular car markets are Al Awir in Dubai and Abu Shagara in Sharjah. The first market, located on the outskirts of the city, in an industrial zone, specializes mainly in expensive brands such as Mersedess, Ferrari, Porshe and Bentley. The second is located in the very center of Sharjah; cars are parked right along the road.

When buying a car in the hot Emirates, you need to take into account the equipment, taking into account the Russian climate. Take the time to test for damage to the body and suspension (it’s paid, but worth it).

To avoid accidentally buying a car that was previously used in a taxi service, carefully inspect the interior of the car: in such a car it will be more shabby than the interior of a regular car, and on the dashboard there may be a visible mark from the information sticker that is usually stuck on taxis in this country .

Basic rules for shopping in the Emirates

  1. Don't rush to buy the first thing you like. In a nearby store, exactly the same thing may cost less.
  2. Bargain kindly, don't get angry. Make jokes, smile, try to win the seller over.
  3. The final chord of the bargaining is the magic words last price. Ask about the “last price” when you are ready to buy.
  4. You can even bargain in shopping malls with a fixed price. They may well give you a small discount - a discount.
  5. On Friday, from 11:30 to 13:30, shopping centers are closed - this is prayer time.
  6. It is better to pay in cash, since when paying by card you will be charged a commission of 2-2.5 percent. And if you are buying an expensive product, such as a car, losing this 2 percent will be quite unpleasant.
  7. For electronics and household appliances, you should always require a warranty certificate.
  8. You should beware of street touts: they offer their help and say that they will help for free, but in fact, the cost of their services is included in the price of the thing that they persistently offer you. They will receive their money from the seller after you pay for the purchase.

What should you not buy in the UAE?

The English say: "We are not rich enough to buy cheap things." But Russians are attracted by the sweet word: “cheap.” Do you already know what you can buy in the UAE, and what you cannot buy in the Emirates? The answer is obvious - low-grade counterfeits of expensive goods. This purchase will bring you nothing but disappointment. It doesn’t matter what it will be - a cheap fur coat bought hastily, a watch with the inscription Rolex for $80, an iPhone or Chanel No. 5 perfume for the same amount. They will not last long: the leather on the strap of a “Swiss” watch will peel off, the paint will peel off, the perfume will not last longer than a couple of hours, and the phone will stop working altogether after a few days. Think about whether such “savings” are necessary? Now you know what to buy in the UAE!

The United Arab Emirates is the very destination that most people associate with first-class service and luxurious vacations. Many, however, are afraid that such a vacation will not be affordable for them. Indeed, a holiday in the UAE is more expensive than, for example, in Turkey or Thailand. But, as they say, there would be a desire. You can save a lot on holiday in the Emirates, the main thing is to organize your holiday correctly.

Where can you have an inexpensive holiday in the UAE? Of course, the world-famous Dubai is not cheap, just like the capital of this country - Abu Dhabi. But there is always an alternative.

Sharjah.

If your budget is limited, but you want to visit the Emirates, then Sharjah will be your best choice. Holiday prices here are the most affordable in the country. If we characterize this resort, we can say that it is the most religious among the emirates; drinkers will get bored here, since there is a dry law here: you cannot bring booze either in stores or with you. But lovers of a relaxing holiday will appreciate the tranquility and silence of these areas - it’s hard to imagine a better place for a family holiday. Even during peak season, you can find very inexpensive hotel rooms.

Sharjah

Diving enthusiasts will also definitely appreciate Sharjah. The largest diving center, Scuba International, is open here for those who like to dive into the underwater world. In addition to the beach and diving, you can also go shopping - there are shops for every budget. Gold products, by the way, are very affordable here. And, of course, there is something to see: the largest mosque in the UAE, an amusement park and magnificent landscapes.

Ajman.

This emirate is of interest primarily to those who come for shopping. Ajaman has the lowest prices for goods. Among the retail outlets, we can separately highlight the market on Sheikh Hamed bin Abdulaziz Street and the Safeer Mall and Carrefour Ajman City Center shopping centers. In addition, Ajaman is the smallest emirate of the UAE and the most loyal. Tourists who cannot see a vacation without a glass of whiskey or a glass of wine will not be judged here. The city is calm, beach holidays are perfectly complemented by boat trips on a speedboat or a wooden dhow.

Swimming pool on the roof of the hotel

You can also recommend some tricks when choosing a hotel in order to save money. For example, hotels within the city, further away from the beach, will be cheaper. Shoppers who come only to spend the night usually stop there. You can’t expect much comfort from such hotels, but that’s not what they’re designed for. But when compared with analogues in the coastal area, you will not be left without a rooftop pool. If you don’t want to be so far from the beach, then you can look at options on the second coastline, but staying in them costs twice as much.

Hotel prices fall in the off-season; if you monitor their level, you can pick the right moment and make a profitable investment. For example, a summer trip can help your budget.

It is also worth choosing a hotel carefully within the coastal zone, because prices may vary, for example, depending on the availability of your own beach or balcony in the room. This way you can save 20-30%.

Emirates in summer, autumn, winter and spring. Weather, is it possible to swim?

It’s warm here all year round, and in other months it’s even higher than +40 degrees. Most, almost 80% of this country is sand and desert. But the remaining parts are chic cities, unique buildings and new wonders of the world. Can you guess which country we are talking about? Yes, this is the Emirates, a country that is constantly included in the TOP 5 countries in terms of attractiveness among tourists. Let's talk about the best time to vacation in the UAE, what time of year and where. Let's look at each season, find out what the temperature is in the Emirates in winter and summer, find out when there are sandstorms and whether it is worth visiting the country in the heat of +40 degrees.

Winter in the UAE means the lowest temperatures.

When there is snow in Russia and there are severe frosts at night, the sun shines in the Emirates. Although even in this country, winter is the coldest time of the year.
In December there is no snow here, but the sun shines. The average temperature in cities is +26 degrees. The water is quite warm and not lower than +23 degrees. Sometimes cold winds blow, which make the temperature feel like +15, and then swimming is not comfortable, but you can sunbathe.

January is the first month of the year, and it is also the coldest in the country. During the day the temperature drops to +15 +17 degrees, and at night it can be +10. At the same time, the sea is warm, and there are not very many people who want to swim in it. The winds begin to blow stronger, often from the north, which lower the temperature. But still, in January there are many tourists in the Emirates; they come here for Christmas and New Year.

February is almost no different from January. The air temperature is from +17 to +20, sometimes up to +24, but this is closer to the end of the month. The sea is +21 +23 and some tourists start swimming in it. The cold winds are ending, and there is little stopping you from being on the beach. Although there are fewer tourists than in January, the holidays are over, and the weather is not yet very suitable for relaxing on the beach.

Spring in the UAE means both the beach and excursions.

March is already warm, and hot for some. The average daytime temperature is about +27 degrees, the sea warmed up to +24. With such indicators, the Emirates are becoming very attractive for tourists. Although not everyone risks swimming in the sea. Most often, March is suitable for shopping and excursions.

But April is the ideal month for a beach holiday. During the day the air warms up to +33, and the sea becomes gorgeous +25 and above. The winds are starting to blow again, but they are already warm and are pushing hot air into the region. Therefore, relaxing on the beach is becoming fashionable. Tourists are in no hurry to get out of the water, refreshing themselves in it.

With the onset of May, real heat comes to the country. The temperature does not drop below +38 degrees, and it is very difficult to be in the sun. The sea is not lower than +29 degrees, swimming in it is a pleasure. Just don’t forget to wet your head with water, otherwise you’ll get sunstroke. In May, tourists, for the most part, begin to relax in the UAE in the evening. After sunset, the long-awaited coolness sets in, you can leisurely walk, visit attractions or be on the beach.

Summer in the UAE – hot, hot, hot!

It is not worth visiting the UAE in summer. Even 70% discounts on vacations are not worth ruined health and a ruined vacation.
From the very first month the temperature soars to +40 degrees. At night the temperature does not drop much and remains at +31 +33 degrees. The temperature of the sea resembles tea, and you can get burned. The waters of the bay are warmed up to +33, and in some places up to +35.

July and August are like twins. Daytime temperatures are above +44 degrees, the sea is also +33 +35. It is simply impossible to be in the sun during the day. High humidity does not allow walking on the streets, and the scorching sun takes away the last of your strength.

In summer, air conditioning is available throughout the UAE. Even on buses they work at full capacity. This is another disadvantage of vacationing in the country at this time of year. Even after a short walk outside, you will be so wet from the humidity that when you enter an air-conditioned room, you will be cold. Visitors often suffer from sore throats and other diseases due to such temperature changes. Therefore, consider whether you should visit Dubai in the summer. The beaches here are empty, there are no people willing to swim. But tourists are also very willing to visit shopping centers. In summer, the cities of the Emirates become deserted.

Autumn in the UAE is very diverse.

Autumn in the country is very similar to our autumn - heat, rain, cold weather.
In September, you can still feel the recently ended summer here. Daytime temperatures often rise to +38, and nights around +29. But tourists appear on the beaches. Towards evening there are even more of them. Many people rush into the water to wash off the day's sweat.
October is very similar to April. The air is not so hot, around +32 +34, and the water in the sea is not lower than +27 degrees. This is a great time to visit the UAE for a beach holiday and excursions to the beautiful places of the country. But don’t be too deluded, it’s autumn and it’s autumn here. Therefore, at any moment the weather can present an unpleasant surprise for tourists.

Now you will learn one important information that will be very surprising. In November, there are 3-4 rainy days in the Emirates - and this is the rainiest month of the year in this area! Surprised? If you are not afraid of “such” amount of rain, then you can safely go on vacation to a beautiful country. Moreover, the air temperature during the day is about +31 degrees, and the sea will be warm and about +28 degrees. And if you get caught in the rain on the beach, don’t worry – the rain here is warm, and you’ll even enjoy walking under it.

Let's summarize.

If you want to relax comfortably on the beaches of the UAE, then you have four months to do this: March and April in the spring, and October and November in the fall. These months are the “mildest” in terms of climate in the country.
It is not recommended to visit the Emirates during the summer months. The air temperature rises above +45, and the water in the sea is about to boil, reaching +35. At the same time, air conditioners are running everywhere, and you can easily catch a sore throat and a hundred other diseases.
As for the winter months, they are suitable for excursions and shopping. You won't be able to swim in the sea; you can always swim in the hotel pool, please.
As for vacation prices, they are almost always the same. Only in summer there are discounts, since there are almost no tourists in the country. There are also discounts in the winter months, when sales festivals take place in the country, but they are not as big.

Salaam Alaikum!

For tourists, as you know, there are two options to plan your vacation: book a tour from a travel agency or book a hotel yourself and buy a flight (so-called “conscious tourism”).

At first glance, the first option is much simpler, cheaper, more convenient, and in general, most tourists at such moments reason exactly like this: “I’m going on vacation, I don’t want to do anything, let knowledgeable people do everything for me.” That’s all true, but often organizing a vacation on your own doesn’t require much effort. What does a tour operator do? In 15 minutes, he manages to go to a hotel booking website, call his intermediaries, book a flight and apply for a visa, if necessary. The tourist pays for his laziness, but searching the Internet, booking a hotel and buying tickets will take a maximum of half a day. So, at the same time, you will know exactly what and where you spent your money. I think this is reasonable. Besides, sometimes you want to choose from what you can see. And not from what the travel agent provides to choose from.

Planning your own vacation is usually 15-20% cheaper, in my case it was as much as 50%.

When I monitored prices from operators for tours to the UAE, I couldn’t find anything less than $700-800 per person, considering that the hotel on such tours is 2 or 3 star. I booked the hotel for 178$ for 4 nights (this is 45$ per night ) in the five-star well-known Hilton hotel in a junior suite with breakfast! I assure you, it is basically impossible to find housing at this price in all the Emirates, not to mention such a hotel.

We chose the hotel in the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, which is located next to Dubai, an hour's drive from its center. Ras Al Khaimah is famous for its luxurious, clean beaches, stunning mountainous landscapes and historical sites. We spent two days relaxing on the beach and at a hotel in this emirate, and the next 2 days we went to Dubai.

You can see on the screenshot when I booked the hotel - dates, number of people (three of us were traveling), breakfast, price. Plus, I had the opportunity to cancel my hotel reservation 5 days before check-in and get my money back. And this, I tell you, is very rare in the tourism business.

Naturally, I looked at options on other resources, and of course, on the popular booking service, which positions itself as the cheapest online booking resource. As it turned out, not the best.

I recently found out about the company where I booked the hotel and have already joined this discount club. Moreover, I personally checked how it works. This is not just an opportunity to enjoy discounts, travel around the world profitably, but also an excellent business opportunity where anyone inspired by this idea can make good money. In addition, this trip will soon pay off for me and we can consider that I went for free.

Friends, I am actively looking for interested people in this field, those who are looking for something new and interesting for themselves, who want to change part of their life for the better, travel lightly and earn money at the same time. I will be glad to help, please contact me.

Everything went great with checking into the hotel, despite the fact that we arrived very late, we were checked in at 2 am without any problems and it only took a few minutes. Delicious and plentiful breakfasts, excellent service, plus we had the opportunity to use all the services of the Hilton Resort&Spa***** hotel, which was located on the first coastline.

From the very beginning, the idea of traveling to Dubai came to me when I accidentally came across affordable prices for flights from the Hungarian-Polish budget company WizzAir, and at the time of purchasing tickets, the prices dropped by half from the already low prices. So, a round trip flight per person cost 1,137 hryvnia ( 138$ ). Despite this super-cheap option, the airline's services were top notch. Plus, it was beneficial for me to join the WizzAir discount club, which provided me and those flying with me with a 10% discount on a flight to Dubai, as well as on future flights throughout the year.

But in fact, not only this company provides such low costs, I have heard about many others, you just need to delve deeper into this issue, and you will suddenly discover that flying to other countries and living there is not as expensive as tour operators offer.

People on all forums on the Internet, tour operators scared us that it was impossible to get a visa to the UAE on our own. Don't trust those who have never tried it. To get a visa to the UAE you just need to scan your passport and photographs and send it to the embassy. In 5 days the visa will be sent to you by mail, you can print it out - and you don’t even need to go anywhere!

Be a conscious tourist! The possibilities are there, they are practically on the surface, you just need to find time to look at them better. I have not used the services of tour operators even in the UAE. No bus tours, you can see Dubai from the windshield of the metro much better than from the window of the bus. Even before the trip, I completely planned my vacation, which places to visit, where it is better to go and at what time, I bought tickets in advance for the Burj Khalifa (the main attraction of Dubai, the tallest building in the world), as I found out that upon arrival there were no tickets left and they are 2 times more expensive.

So, flight and accommodation in the UAE per person for 5 days and 4 nights amounted to: 316$.
Where can you find such a price from a tour operator including flights and a 5* hotel?

I’ll tell you about transportation (taxi, buses, metro), what places to visit, food in the UAE and more in the following posts about my trip.

I am very pleased with my vacation, I really enjoyed organizing and planning everything on my own, and it didn’t require much effort, but brought a lot of pleasure, increased self-confidence, and I will organize future trips only this way and no other way, because, just believe me, this is the best way. Try it, you will like it!
