Ferrari World amusement park. Ferrari world for boys - from toddlers to dads. Who else will enjoy visiting Ferrari Park?

The Formula Rossa roller coaster is the highlight of the program at Ferrari World. The fastest in the world, they accelerate to 240 km/h. In terms of total length, they are the 6th in the world - 2,000 meters, but visitors cover this distance in just 92 seconds.

The second big roller coaster. They are stylized as an airplane from the early 20th century of the famous ace Francesco Baracca. Getting on it is much easier than Formula Rossa, the queue is much shorter, and the attraction is more spacious - 28 people.

This attraction (just like Formula Rossa) has a peculiarity - the track is located outside the indoor park. In strong winds, it is dangerous to operate the attraction, and it is simply closed for a while until the wind subsides. When the wind speed is 10 m/s (20 knots) or more, the operation of the attraction definitely stops. At speeds from 5 to 10 m/s at the discretion of park staff.

The launch here does not take place by catapult, as on Formula Rossa, but in the traditional way - by pulling the trolleys up the slope at an angle of 51 degrees to a height of 63 meters.

Flying Aces boasts a record-breaking “loop” height of 52 meters (pictured above, click to enlarge), 10 places of zero gravity and speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour. The trailer is made in the style of an airplane from the First World War. The length of the track is 1.5 kilometers. The Flying Aces attraction opened relatively recently - in February 2016.

The permitted height of the visitor is from 1.3 to 1.96 meters. Maximum acceleration is 4.8G. Travel time is 2.5 minutes. We warn you that the attraction is not for the faint of heart.

The third pride of the Ferrari World park. This is a combination of a roller coaster and a free fall ride. The train can accommodate 12 people, of which 6 sit with their backs at the start, 6 with their faces. The train quickly accelerates and slides onto a vertical rail, which also twists around its axis.

If you looked at the photo of Ferrari World Park from above, you probably noticed a funnel in the center, from this funnel the visitors of this attraction appear (in the photo on the right, click on the photo to enlarge). At the height there will be about 3 seconds to look around, and then the train falls down the same vertical rail.

Few visitors manage to understand at first what just happened to them. We recommend riding Turbo Track at least twice.

The height of the track is 64 meters, the train reaches a speed of 102 km/h. This is the newest attraction at Ferrari World, having only opened in March 2017. Until this moment, there was a regular “free fall” attraction here, it was called G-Force. For viewing the surrounding area from a height, the G-Force was much more convenient, since visitors sat on it vertically. The new Turbo Track is more interesting in terms of thrill.

It took the Swiss company Intamin more than a year to build and test the Turbo Track. The attraction underwent full testing with dummies with built-in sensors. Safety guaranteed.

The permitted height of the visitor is from 1.3 to 1.96 meters. People who are too fat may be removed from the ride before the start if the equipment holding the passenger cannot be secured. Before the trip, you need to remove all items from your pockets and leave mobile phones at the entrance. Travel time is 30 seconds. The total length of the tracks is 180 meters.

This is a parallel roller coaster ride. That is, two tracks are laid next to each other, two trains travel along them in parallel. The carriages imitate the famous Ferrari F430 Spider sports car. The track is designed in such a way that the trains alternately take the lead, creating the feeling of a race between them. Naturally, they reach the finish line almost simultaneously.

The course is outside the indoor park and may be closed in the event of strong winds.

This is the simplest roller coaster at Ferrari World. If you are afraid to go straight to Formula Rossa or Flying Aces, then we recommend starting with the Fiorano GT Challenge. There are no dead loops, sharp turns, sharp descents or ascents.

This is one of the oldest attractions in the park, it has been here since its opening. It once seemed like the pinnacle of engineering. Acceleration is carried out by linear electric motors, braking is carried out by magnets. The Fiorano GT Challenge was built by Maurer from Germany (Munich).

The most fun is to ride together on different trains, because one of them will finish at least a fraction of a second faster. There is a queue here, but it's small. The attraction accommodates 24 people.

Maximum speed – 95 km/h. The length of the route is 1080 meters. Maximum overload – 2G. Travel time is 1 minute 20 seconds. Height limit is from 1.3 to 1.95 meters.

Ferrari Museum

This museum is called “Galleria Ferrari”. This is the second largest exhibition of Ferrari cars and trophies after the museum in Maranello. The composition of the exhibition changes periodically, but a real Formula 1 car can always be seen here.

Recently, the Ferrari World amusement park opened in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. In the Emirs they love the very best, and Ferrari Park was no exception. Ferrari World is the largest indoor amusement park in the world, covering an area of 86,000 square meters. m. On the roof of the park is the largest Ferrari logo in the world, its length is 65 meters and its area is 3000 square meters. The park is home to the world's fastest attraction - Formula Rossa - the maximum speed is 240 kilometers per hour, and the trolleys accelerate to it in just 4.9 seconds (in 2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h). We don’t need to talk about such little things as the world’s largest metal spatial structure, consisting of 172,000 elements, and from the metal of which 2 Eiffel Towers can be built. Unfortunately, in the pursuit of “the very best,” the owners of the park forgot about its main purpose - as an amusement park it does not live up to provincial American attractions.

First, let's look at satellite images. The red wraparound roof of the entertainment complex, made in the shape of three petals, is decorated with the Ferrari logo. This is the largest brand logo ever created in history.

Conceived and designed by world-renowned architecture firm Benoy, the design of the Ferrary World theme park was inspired by the double curved side profile of the Ferrari GT. The height of the complex is 50 meters and the roof perimeter exceeds 2200 meters. 12,370 tons of steel went into supporting the structure, covering an area of 200,000 square meters. Steel and glass were used as materials; the main task in designing the roof and selecting materials was to protect the structure from heating when exposed to sunlight.

Near the park there is an F1 racing track (Abu Dhabi Grand Prix), hotels, a large marina

This is an old photo, now the area looks more finished, but still, there is one big construction site all around.

By the way, it is not clear why it was necessary to be so tricky with the roof; it is still not visible from anywhere except a helicopter.

The cost of an adult ticket is 225 dirhams ($62), a child ticket is 165 dirhams ($45). For about $100 you can buy a premium ticket, which gives you skip-the-line access to the attractions.

While visitors are not accustomed to using the turnstiles, park employees do it for them.

The interior of the park is quite simple, it is clear that it has not been given much attention, there are a lot of random decisions, and the quality of the finishing is generally below average.

I was there on the second day after the park opened, despite the day off, it was empty.

Now let's see what kind of attractions are in the park. The most important, and the only one worth visiting the park for is Formula Rossa. This central attraction will allow daredevils to test their nerves and feel all the g-forces experienced by Ferrari F1 pilots. Acceleration to 200 km/h in less than 5 seconds. Moreover, immediately after acceleration, the trolleys fly vertically upward, and then everything spins and in minutes everything ends. This attraction alone is worth coming here for.

To accelerate the carts, a system similar to that installed on aircraft carriers to accelerate aircraft is used. There are many photos of this attraction in the magazine Alexey - http://russkiy.livejournal.com/37808.html

You can take a virtual tour of the factory where Ferraris are assembled.

Here they tell you how legendary cars are designed and then assembled.

Part of the tour takes place on the screen.

Some assembly stages are illustrated with real models from the factory.

You can look into the Paddock and see how Formula 1 cars are serviced during the races.

A separate stand is dedicated to the aerodynamics of cars.

There is also a large museum in the park, where the entire history of the brand is presented.

This is an introduction to the virtual roller coaster Speed of Magic. Then the audience gets into the trailer, puts on 3D glasses and goes on a journey through the three-dimensional world. Large screens on which the image is projected and the movement of the trailer itself create the feeling of flying through virtual worlds at high speed. The only thing that spoils everything is the not very high quality 3D graphics.

This is how the benches were designed in an original way.

Comparison of a racing car and a production model of Ferrari.

There are several restaurants in the park; lunch costs about $50 per person.

Ferrari World has a simulator used to train Ferrari team drivers. To avoid a long queue, tickets must be purchased separately. 3 projectors, an exact copy of a racing car. Children are not allowed on the simulator.

But for them there is a track with electric cars. Speed is only 5 km/h)))

For lovers of romance, there is the Little Italy attraction. The 570-meter long route takes place in the surroundings of the Italian mountains. The trolleys are the Ferrari 250 California Spyder models.

The little ones are asked to pedal.

There were a few more attractions, but they haven't opened yet. In principle, much more could be accommodated in such an area. It is recommended to go to the park only if you are a true Ferrari fan, then it will be very interesting. But I wouldn’t go for the rides, there’s only one there, everything else can be found in any amusement park.

And now the store!

The total area of the Ferrari Store will be 825 square meters. m.

Here you can buy any junk with the Ferrari logo at exorbitant prices.

You can also buy real engine parts from cars that won races. Just 200,000 rubles and the crankshaft is yours.

Unfortunately, I don’t know what to call it correctly, but for 300,000 you can put it on the shelf.

Helmets, autographs of pilots.

I really liked the car body model.

If you have an extra $100,000, you can buy an engine.

And here is the certificate for it .

Abu Dhabi is striving to develop its tourism business, and the sports car manufacturer is striving to win as many fans of its brand as possible around the world. The company plans to build other similar parks. “Brand developments are extremely important for luxury car manufacturers. Rich customers buy cars and the world around them.”

Ferrari World is located in the United Arab Emirates on Yas Island, which is 10 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, 30 from Abu Dhabi and 50 minutes from Dubai.

Thank you very much Alexey for company!

By the way, you can see even more photos of the park at my page on the website Turbina.ru. By the way, there is a unique shot of what happens to a hairstyle after the Formula Rosso attraction)))

The Ferrari World indoor theme park is an attraction that invariably attracts tourists to the UAE, namely to its capital, the emirate called Abu Dhabi. There, on the artificially created island of Yas Island, the Ferrari World park, known to temperamental car enthusiasts and simply those who like to tickle their nerves while watching crazy sports car races, is located. This sight is simply breathtaking. Believe me, you have never seen anything like this before! The scale and shape of the structure amazes the imagination, which, however, is typical for the Emirates living in grand style.

A little information

Ferrari World opened on October 27, 2010. It has a very convenient location: just half an hour drive from the center of Abu Dhabi, 50 minutes from Dubai Marina. The park can be reached fairly quickly from three airports: 10 minutes from Abu Dhabi, 1.5 hours from Dubai airport, 2 hours from Sharjah.

The Ferrari theme park is the world's largest indoor park, covering more than 86 thousand square meters, which can be compared to approximately seven football fields. The height of the complex is 45 meters, and on its roof is the largest Ferrari brand logo.

Amazing rides at Ferrari World

The main element of the Ferrari World theme park is a gigantic glass tunnel. It is here that all the numerous attractions of the park are located. One of the most popular attractions among visitors is, of course, the Formula 1 race simulator.

Here, everyone who has always dreamed of being in the place of racers can make their dream come true by choosing one of twenty types of racing attractions. Well, those extreme sports enthusiasts who want to feel as much adrenaline as possible in their blood should definitely visit the central tower of Ferrari World. It is here that the G-Force attraction is located - daredevils climb into the capsule, and through a 48-meter roof it shoots to a height of 62 meters.

However, the undoubted “pearl” of the park can be considered a roller coaster called “Formula Rossa”. They are considered the fastest roller coaster in the world, their maximum speed reaches 240 km/h.

In addition to the attractions, there is a place in the park that symbolizes the history of the famous Italian company Ferrari. It is called “little Italy”, here guests can stroll along the Amalfi promenade, see Venice and the Colosseum.

Children's corner at the Ferrari amusement park

It is noteworthy that they also did not forget to take care of the youngest visitors in the park. For children, there are Ferrari carousels, and there are also many different themed toys.

For older children, Ferrari World has set up a specialized track where a professional instructor will tell children about driving theory and also teach them how to drive a car. Now they will be able to feel like real drivers, and also... “try on” the role of a car wash or a designer.

Cafes and restaurants in Ferrari Park

It's hard not to get hungry at a theme park because it's so huge that walking around it can take all day and the extreme rides will take all your energy. Therefore, there is hardly a person who will refuse to eat at one of the restaurants provided by the park - Trattoria, Mamma Rossella or Cavallino.

The aromas of delicious Italian cuisine, capable of whetting the appetite of even a fairly well-fed person, are also one of the features on the territory of Ferrari World.

I’m telling you as a traveler who read reviews on the Internet and got there myself in a rented car, which means I was going there to God knows where, without knowing English, with my wife and three-year-old child in my arms.

The navigator indicated the exact road to the park parking lot, which is free.

You need to devote the whole day to this miracle! I'm not a Formula 1 fan and didn't become one after visiting the park, but this is a real miracle! Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. We decided to go there, despite the fact that we had heard a lot of negative reviews in Dubai, saying that there was nothing to do there, and besides, children under 110 cm tall are practically not allowed anywhere. One man purposefully dissuaded me from visiting the park; when I asked what he didn’t like, he said EVERYTHING!))) And when asked if he had ridden a roller coaster or an F1 simulator, he answered NO! Because of them, I just wanted to go, the man surprised me, to visit a Ferrari and not take a ride there?!)))

The park is quite large. We arrived at 11 and left at 20 o'clock. There are Russian-speaking staff at the ticket office and in the park who will explain everything in detail, as soon as you tell them that you need a “Russian cashier”. There are two types of tickets, skip the line costing 440 dirhams (1 dirham 9 rubles) and general admission 240 dirhams. But on some attractions, even with a premium ticket you can get into a queue of the same ones, but there are not so many of them.

A map of the park is given out at the checkout, ask where children are allowed, where there are the most queues and all the questions that interest you. Children under 3 years old are free. Bags are checked at the entrance; food is not allowed. The child was in a stroller and was allowed in without any problems.

We first went to the F1 simulator, since there you need to register in advance (D) (hereinafter, in parentheses, I will indicate the number and letters indicated on the map).

Steering wheel in the F1 simulator.

Viz driving a simulator.

There is an original F1 car and, roughly speaking, a simple Ferrari car, the cost is 100 dirhams, the rest of the attractions have free entry and an unlimited number of rides on one at least 100 times, you just have to wait in line for a new one. At 11:30 the queue was at 14:00, we paid 200 dirhams for two and moved on. One thing was not taken into account, since no one warned and it is not written anywhere that if you are shorter than ~165 cm, then you will not be able to reach the pedals in the simulator))) My wife got into trouble, with a height of 160 cm she had to stick her head out from under steering wheel, then dive down to press the pedals, thereby not seeing the screen. If you are shorter than 165 cm, go not to F1, but to a simple car that is on the right.

It’s an interesting feeling: you race for 10 minutes, after which even your abs hurt from the shaking. My wife didn’t like it for the reasons stated above.

Around the paid simulator there are small, free analogues, for which there is also a queue and you need to sign up in advance. We took the coupons, but in the end we didn’t get to them.

There are a lot of different bells and whistles in the park: spinning cars, car bodies on the walls, a bunch of real Ferraris, various models showing the aerodynamics of the car, etc.

Then we just look around where to go and figure out on the map what is where. Impressions so far so-so. The time has come to leave my wife and child and go experience everything alone. I take the queue for the attraction (O). After standing for 20 minutes, the crowd went into a booth where they showed some kind of hat on TV, I think they arrived))) We are asked to go further, sit down and buckle up......and then it started) This is super))) I won’t describe the whole process, so that you yourself would like to visit there. My wife liked it too.

I get in line for the Ross formula (A), wait about 30 minutes, and here comes the long-awaited moment. The start and you are pressed into the seat, from which you cannot lift your head. Excellent impression, not so much for my wife.

The longest queue that I stood in was the cinema hall (T) ... about 40 minutes or so. On the map you can see three pillars in three rows, so these are the chairs in which they lift you up to the screen and you take part in the races! Great, we liked it. Half an hour later I passed by and there was not a single person in line.

On (Q and K) you ride in special trailers and look at the history of the creation of the car, etc. Let's say it's normal.

We didn’t ride on (G) because they just roll you around in round “wheels”, we didn’t waste time. The child was not allowed to go to (H,B,I).

Want to change a real wheel on an F1 car?

Then this attraction is for you (N). They give you a pneumatic wrench, with which you must unscrew the nut on the wheel, remove the old wheel and put the new one in and tighten it. First they show you how to do it, then you change it for a while! In front of me there was a girl who easily changed the tire, I think STRONGER!, but as it turned out later it was very easy.

The Ferrari World complex, or, as it is also called, “Ferrari World,” not far from the capital of the Emirates, is the world’s largest thematic excursion and entertainment pavilion. The establishment was opened in 2010, and today it is the only recreational park in the history of the famous Italian automobile corporation.

One of its unique features is a continuous streamlined red roof with an area of more than 200 thousand square meters. m. It is made in the shape of petals, repeating the classic image of the legendary GT model. And it is decorated with a catchy Ferrari logo - the largest ever since the company's existence. Inside is the complex itself with an incredible amount of entertainment.

In 2007, a “time capsule” with elements of the engine of the champion car was laid into the foundation. It will be opened in 2047 during the celebration of the park's 100th anniversary.

What to see

In the park you can watch documentaries about the history of racing, fly over Italy on a special simulator, swim along the ocean floor and ride at a speed of 200 km/h on the world's fastest roller coaster. By the way, instead of a regular cockpit, an F1 car cockpit emulator is installed, which allows you not only to tickle your nerves, but also to get the sensations experienced by professional racers.

Also on the territory there are halls where car assembly is demonstrated, devices for virtual travel through a Ferrari engine, and there are attractions for adults and children. Among them are go-karts for the little ones and state-of-the-art simulators on which pilots of sports teams are trained. You can take memorable photographs and book an excursion absolutely everywhere.

The complex is equipped with many shops. The most popular are the flagship Ferrari World Abu-Dhabi boutique with hundreds of park-themed souvenirs and the Ferrari Store, where you can purchase branded goods from the manufacturer.

And for those who want to grab a bite to eat, local cafes and restaurants open their doors. In the first place, of course, are Italian dishes: pasta, pizza and delicious cherry pie, but there is also a more familiar European menu.
